Tricot, Raschel, Double Needle Bar, Simplex

Gehring-Tricot has an extremely diverse range of tricot and raschel machinery of most any gauge needed. In addition, we have the largest assemblage of double needle bar raschel spacer machines, offering an incredible breadth of design capabilities. Recent additions of Simplex machinery will only further expand the already extensive internal competencies. Unique to Gehring is the use of so many different yarns, as needed to allow us to service such an extremely varied market mix. In a typical year we would use anywhere from 200-250 different yarns, through combination of filament as well as spun yarns. We knit fabrics using yarns as standard as nylon, polyester and spandex… to more complex performance yarns including aramids [meta and para], glass, carbon, rayon, silk, wool… to name a few.

Circular Knit Fabrics

Gehring-Tricot has combined fine gauge knitting machines -- 42gg double knit and 28gg electronic jacquard -- with high performance yarn spinning techniques, resulting in advanced performance knits with fine count Aramid and Para-Aramid yarn for protective clothing and activewear. The Gehring Circular Knit division produces a minimum of 75 new fabrics, mostly high performance fabrics, per year.

Stretch Woven Fabrics

Tweave's stretch woven fabrics, known by the Durastretch®, Duratech®, and Durasense brands, are available in a range of weights from 4-10 oz/sq.yd., and contain up to 50% spandex, primarily blended with nylon.
